From 1981 until 2010, the average inflation rate in Hong Kong was 4.63 percent reaching an historical high of 16.00 percent in October of 1981 and a record low of -6.10 percent in August of 1999. Inflation rate refers to a general rise in prices measured against a standard level of purchasing power.
